Sad news regarding previous holder of the Frog Trophy. We were sad to hear the news just before the 2010 'Only Paws and Horses' show that Sam had lost William after a short illness. William was a very active working spaniel, always on the go and ready for anything. Taking it easy was certainly never his style. Obsessed by tennis balls, he was a natural for flyball and achieved UK and European record breaking success when he was the important height dog with the Jets multi breed team. William took to Dash 'N' Splash like a duck to water ( or should that be Spaniel to water ) and became the second holder of the prestigious Frog Dog Trophy with a leap of 16 ft 7 ins at the second ever championship at Canford Heath, Poole in 2005. This was remarkable as there was only one open class at the time and William was competing against dogs a lot bigger than he was. What he lacked in size, he made up for by a fearless, 'go for it' attitude and an insaciable appetite for that "just one more go". William went to France a couple of years ago and enjoyed an energetic but well deserved retirement with Sam and the rest of the four legged gang. He will be remembered fondly and missed by all those who knew him. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa  |
